David and his team did an attic conversion before Christmas on our house. We couldn't speak highly enough of the quality of their work and professionalism. We had looked into putting a dormer on top of the house and had been granted planning permission to to do. while we were waiting on planning to come through and we had got a few quotes from a number of builders whose quote were very expensive we engaged attic masters. David came out, talks us through what would be possible. withing a few days he had come back with a quote which was very competitive and gave us most of what we need in the attic space for a 1/3 of the cost. The work was completed in 2 weeks and the areas where they working in were left spotless every night. The attic conversion has made a huge difference to our house. it is turned it from a 3 bed to a four bedroom house. I would have no hesitation in recommending Attic masters.

Attic Conversion Common Questions

Can I stay in the house during the conversion?

Yes, our attic conversions are completed efficiently within 10–14 working days, and because we only take on one project at a time, disruption is kept to a minimum.

What’s included in the electrical work?

We install energy-efficient LED recessed downlights, four double sockets and a smoke alarm in existing landing and main attic room – all carried out by a RECI-registered electrician and connected to your main fuse board.

What kind of insulation is used?

We use Xtratherm insulation and Kingspan warmboard, which significantly reduce heat loss – up to 30% through the roof – and outperform cheaper alternatives like fibreglass.

What happens to the water tank?

If needed, your water tank will be relocated under the eaves with access via a hatch. If it’s an old metal tank, we recommend upgrading to a modern plastic version.

What heating options are available for the attic?

We assess your existing system to see if it can support a plumbed radiator. If not, we may recommend converting to a pressurised system or installing a wall-mounted electric radiator with a timer.
